Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate / HPR
The defining difference between Corrective PM Plus and Corrective AM.
HPR is a retinoid, but it is not Retinol.
It is an ester of retinoic acid used in cosmetic Vitamin A formulations to support:
Surface-cell renewal + smoother texture + clearer-looking pores + more even-looking skin.
Within an acne-focused routine, this makes it particularly relevant to:
Congestion + uneven texture + persistent breakouts + post-breakout marks.
For Chris & Alley, use:
Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR) — an advanced cosmetic retinoid
rather than:
Retinol
or:
a form of Retinol.
No finished-product HPR percentage is currently published, so I would not assign a numerical strength.
Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate
A water-soluble derivative of Azelaic Acid combined with glycine.
It helps support:
Oil balance + more even-looking tone + visible redness + blemish-prone skin.
This is particularly useful in PM Plus because it complements both the retinoid and Salicylic Acid.
Importantly:
Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate ≠ free Azelaic Acid.
The ingredient should be named accurately.
Salicylic Acid
A Beta Hydroxy Acid particularly suited to oilier and congested skin.
Its lipid-compatible character makes it useful for:
Blackheads + whiteheads + clogged-looking pores + rough texture.
It complements HPR by providing a separate pore-focused exfoliating mechanism.
No concentration is currently published.
Niacinamide
Vitamin B3 supporting:
Barrier function + oil balance + more even-looking tone + skin resilience.
It is especially useful where acne-prone skin also experiences post-inflammatory pigmentation.
Hinokitiol
An aromatic compound derived from certain trees within the cypress family and used in cosmetic formulations for its purifying and skin-conditioning properties.
Lamelle associates Hinokitiol with the product's blemish-focused antimicrobial strategy.
For customer-facing copy, I would use:
Provides complementary purifying support for problematic skin.
Avoid positioning the cream as an antibacterial medicine.
Citrus Reticulata Peel Extract
The citrus-derived component Lamelle associates with its Nobiletin oil-regulating story.
It helps support:
Balanced-looking sebum production + reduced excessive shine.
Because the actual INCI lists Citrus Reticulata Peel Extract rather than standalone Nobiletin, I would avoid representing Nobiletin as a separately declared ingredient unless Lamelle confirms the standardised raw material.
Melaleuca Alternifolia / Tea Tree Leaf Oil
Provides complementary clarifying and purifying support for breakout-prone skin.
It should remain part of the overall acne-support system rather than being presented as a standalone acne treatment.
Rosmarinus Officinalis / Rosemary Extract
Provides antioxidant and skin-conditioning support.
Lamelle also positions Rosemary within the product's soothing system.
For Chris & Alley:
Helps support calmer, clearer-looking skin.
Hamamelis Virginiana / Witch Hazel Extract
Provides astringent and skin-conditioning properties particularly relevant to oilier skin.
It may help improve the appearance of excess shine and visible pores.
Avoid claiming that it physically closes or permanently shrinks pores.
Lactoferrin
A naturally occurring protein incorporated into the formula as part of its blemish-supportive system.
Use:
Provides complementary support for clearer-looking problematic skin.
Avoid overly medical antibacterial claims.
Hyaluronic Acid
Helps attract and retain water, supporting:
Hydration + suppleness + skin comfort.
This is valuable because breakout-focused routines can become dehydrating when multiple active products are used together.
Betaine
A humectant and osmolyte helping support moisture balance and reduce tightness.
Squalane
A lightweight emollient supporting softness and barrier comfort.
Evening Primrose Oil
Provides emollient fatty-acid support and helps maintain skin comfort.
Ergothioneine
An antioxidant providing complementary defence against oxidative environmental stress.
Rh-Oligopeptide-1 + Rh-Polypeptide-1
Recombinant cosmetic peptide technologies incorporated for skin-conditioning and recovery support.
For Chris & Alley, keep claims cosmetic:
Supports skin recovery and healthier-looking skin.
Avoid:
Heals wounds
or:
Repairs damaged tissue.
Copper Tripeptide-1
A cosmetic copper peptide supporting:
Skin conditioning + antioxidant support + recovery.
Allantoin
Helps soothe and condition the skin.
Urea + Sodium Lactate + Serine + Glycerin
Components that contribute to the formula's broader moisture-support system.
These help counterbalance the active acne-treatment ingredients.
Vitamin E / Tocopheryl Acetate
Provides antioxidant and emollient support.
