Pycnogenol® – French Maritime Pine Bark Extract
Pycnogenol® is a patented, standardised extract derived from the bark of the French Maritime Pine / Pinus pinaster.
It contains a complex mixture of antioxidant polyphenols, including procyanidins.
Within Ovelle D3, Pycnogenol® provides:

Oral Pycnogenol® has been studied in women with melasma.
A published 30-day clinical study involving 30 women used 75mg Pycnogenol® daily and found statistically significant reductions in both melasma area and pigment intensity.

Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 is the form of Vitamin D known as:
Cholecalciferol.
The currently published Ovelle D3 specification provides:
500 IU Vitamin D3 per capsule.
At the commonly recommended two-capsule daily dose, this provides:
1,000 IU Vitamin D3 daily.
Vitamin D supports normal:
Bone health + calcium metabolism + neuromuscular function + immune function.
Important Vitamin D Terminology
Lamelle and several retailers currently describe the product as containing:
“Activated Vitamin D.”
I would not use this phrase.
Vitamin D3 / Cholecalciferol is not itself the physiologically active form of Vitamin D.
The body must metabolise Vitamin D before forming active Calcitriol.
For Chris & Alley, simply use:
Vitamin D3 / Cholecalciferol.

Take:
2 capsules daily with a meal and water
unless the current physical pack or your healthcare professional directs otherwise.
Taking the capsules with food is appropriate because Vitamin D is fat-soluble, and absorption is supported when consumed with a meal containing some fat.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose unless advised by an appropriate healthcare professional.
