Vitamin A and one of the defining corrective ingredients in Complexion Control.
Retinol supports cellular renewal and can help improve the appearance of:

Optiphi now specifically classifies this as a nighttime serum and recommends gradual introduction because Retinol can cause irritation if introduced too quickly.
It should not be confused with prescription Tretinoin; this is cosmetic Retinol.
4-Butylresorcinol
One of the most important ingredients missing from the current Chris & Alley key-ingredient story.
4-Butylresorcinol is a targeted pigment-regulating ingredient used to help reduce the processes involved in excess melanin formation.
It makes Complexion Control considerably more pigmentation-focused than a standard antioxidant Retinol serum.
The current Optiphi manufacturer INCI clearly confirms 4-Butylresorcinol in the formula.
Niacinamide
Vitamin B3 is the second ingredient in the current formula, making it a significant component rather than a token supporting active.
Niacinamide helps support:

Barrier function
Moisture retention
Skin resilience
Smoother-looking texture
It also works particularly well within a pigmentation-focused routine because it supports overall barrier tolerance while stronger corrective ingredients are being used.
Ascorbyl Glucoside
A stable Vitamin C derivative and the third ingredient in the current formula.
Ascorbyl Glucoside provides antioxidant and brightening support, helping improve visible dullness and uneven tone.
This is an important correction to our current page.
Chris & Alley currently lists simply Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid).
There is some free Ascorbic Acid near the end of the current INCI, but the major Vitamin C ingredient is actually Ascorbyl Glucoside.
I would therefore use:
Ascorbyl Glucoside + Ascorbic Acid — antioxidant Vitamin C support
rather than implying that this is primarily an L-Ascorbic Acid serum.
Resveratrol
A polyphenol antioxidant that helps defend against environmental oxidative stress.
Optiphi specifically highlights Resveratrol within the current formula for overall skin conditioning and resilience.
Ellagic Acid
A naturally occurring antioxidant polyphenol used in pigmentation-focused skincare for its antioxidant and melanin-regulating support.
It complements 4-Butylresorcinol, Retinol and Vitamin C within the overall tone-correcting strategy.
Vitamin E / Tocopheryl Acetate
Provides lipid-soluble antioxidant support while helping condition the skin.
Jojoba Seed Oil
Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil provides lightweight emollient support, helping soften the skin and offset some of the dryness that can accompany Retinol use.
Glycerin
A humectant that helps support hydration and overall skin comfort.

Use preferably in the evening.
Apply 1–2 pumps to the face, neck and décolleté, or use a smaller amount on targeted areas of concern.
For new users:
Begin 2–3 evenings per week.
Gradually increase frequency only as skin comfort allows.
Optiphi specifically advises not combining Complexion Control with another Retinol-containing product in the same routine.
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning.
