Panthenol
Pro-Vitamin B5.
Panthenol is a humectant and skin-conditioning ingredient that helps attract and retain moisture while supporting skin comfort.
It complements Niacinamide particularly well when the skin feels tight, stressed or sensitised.
Sodium Hyaluronate
The sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid.
It helps bind water within the upper skin layers, contributing to a smoother, more hydrated and plumped appearance.
The current Chris & Alley description calls it “high-performance” and says it offers “better penetration” than Hyaluronic Acid. I would simplify that. The important consumer benefit is simply:
“Helps attract and retain moisture for smoother, more hydrated-looking skin.”
Sodium Lactate
A naturally occurring component of the skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF).
It functions as a humectant, helping draw water into the outer skin layers and supporting a softer, more flexible skin surface.
Its presence helps explain why such a short formula can still provide strong hydration support.

Use morning and/or evening.
Apply to cleansed skin over the:
Face, neck and décolleté.
Optiphi recommends:
1–2 pumps for the face
or
2–3 pumps for the face, neck and décolleté.
Massage gently into the skin and allow a few moments for the serum to absorb.
Follow with thicker serums, moisturiser and sunscreen as appropriate.
