Fernblock®+
Heliocare’s antioxidant fern-derived technology based around Polypodium Leucotomos Leaf Extract.
Fernblock®+ complements the UV-filter system by helping defend against oxidative stress generated during solar exposure.
It does not replace sunscreen filters; rather, it adds another layer to Heliocare’s broader photoprotection strategy.
Genoprotect Complex
Cantabria Labs currently describes Genoprotect as combining:
Photolyase + Glycosylase + Endonuclease.
These enzyme-related technologies are included to support the skin’s natural repair processes following UV-related cellular stress.
For Chris & Alley, I would avoid the current local wording suggesting Glycosylase “repairs DNA before any damage occurs.” That wording is internally contradictory.
A cleaner description is:
“Supports the skin’s natural repair mechanisms following UV-related stress.”
Physavie / Physalis Angulata Extract
A botanical antioxidant and soothing ingredient used within Heliocare’s broader defence against heat, infrared and environmental stress.
It is particularly relevant to sensitive skin exposed to outdoor conditions.
OTZ 10 / Oxothiazolidine
An antioxidant technology represented by Oxothiazolidine in the current INCI.
It helps reinforce the formula’s protection against oxidative stress associated with sun exposure.
Biomimetic Melanin
Melanin technology is incorporated as part of Heliocare’s wider visible-light defence strategy.
It complements the mineral sunscreen system by helping interact with a broader range of light wavelengths.
Niacinamide
