Step 1 — Start with dry hands and dry skin

Apply PreCleanse to dry hands and massage over a dry face.

This is important because the product is designed to initially work as an oil.

Step 2 — Massage

Massage gently over the face to dissolve:

Sunscreen

Surface oil

Dirt

Product residue

Environmental buildup

Spend a little extra time on areas where congestion or stubborn debris tends to accumulate.

Step 3 — Add water

Wet your hands and continue massaging.

The oil will transform into a light, milky emulsion.

Step 4 — Rinse

Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Step 5 — Follow with your Dermalogica cleanser

Initially, it feels oily as it is massaged over dry skin. Once water is introduced, it emulsifies into a light, milky texture and can then be rinsed away.
