Salicylic Acid
An oil-soluble beta-hydroxy acid, or BHA.
Salicylic Acid can move into oily pore environments, helping loosen accumulated sebum and dead cells while providing surface exfoliation.
This makes it particularly useful for:
Congestion
Blackheads
Excess oil
Blemish-prone skin
Enlarged-looking pores
NassifMD includes Salicylic Acid as one of the defining differences between the Original and Gentle Detox Pads; the Gentle version is specifically formulated without it.
Glycolic Acid
An alpha-hydroxy acid that works primarily at the skin surface to loosen bonds between accumulated dead cells.
It helps improve:
Dullness
Rough texture
Uneven-looking tone
Surface pigmentation
Fine textural lines
NassifMD identifies Glycolic Acid as one of the main exfoliating and brightening actives in the Original formula.
Lactic Acid
A second alpha-hydroxy acid.
Lactic Acid provides exfoliation while also having useful humectant properties, making it a valuable complement to Glycolic and Salicylic Acids in a multi-acid formula.
Bakuchiol
A botanical active often positioned as a retinol alternative because it can support smoother-looking texture, tone and firmness without itself being a retinoid.
This distinction is important:
Bakuchiol is not Retinol.
The current manufacturer refers to the Original pads as containing a “retinol-like” ingredient, and the current INCI confirms Bakuchiol, not Retinol or another Vitamin A derivative.
Ectoin
An extremolyte ingredient that helps support hydration, barrier resilience and skin comfort under environmental stress.
It is particularly useful in an exfoliating treatment because it adds a hydrating and protective counterbalance to the acid system.
3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid
A stable Vitamin C derivative providing antioxidant and brightening support.
It complements the exfoliating acids by helping improve the appearance of dull and uneven-looking skin.
Witch Hazel Leaf Extract
Listed as Hamamelis Virginiana Leaf Extract.
Witch Hazel provides skin-conditioning and astringent support and contributes to the clean, refreshed skin feel of the pads.
Willow Bark Extract
Salix Nigra Bark Extract provides additional botanical skin-conditioning and exfoliation-support benefits.
It should not, however, be presented as another specific percentage of Salicylic Acid — the formula already contains separate Salicylic Acid as an ingredient.
Sodium PCA + Sorbitol
Humectants that help attract and retain moisture within the outer skin layers.
These are valuable in a leave-on acid treatment where maintaining hydration helps improve comfort and tolerance.
Allantoin
Provides soothing and skin-conditioning support, helping balance the more active exfoliating components of the formula.

How to Use
Gently swipe one pad across the face, avoiding the upper and lower eyelids.
Do not rinse.
Follow with your usual treatment serum and moisturiser.
NassifMD currently recommends adjusting frequency according to skin type:
Dry Skin
Start approximately 2 times per week, gradually increasing towards daily use only if well tolerated.
Normal Skin
Start approximately 3 times per week, gradually building towards daily use.
Oily Skin
May be used daily and, where well tolerated, up to twice daily according to the manufacturer.
For most Chris & Alley clients already using active skincare, I would still favour gradual introduction rather than automatically beginning twice daily.
