Advanced UV Filter System
The current Bronze ingredient declaration contains a comprehensive combination of mineral and organic filters including:
Titanium Dioxide
A mineral sunscreen filter contributing to broad-spectrum protection.
Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine / Tinosorb S
A highly photostable broad-spectrum UVA/UVB filter.
Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate / Uvinul A Plus
A dedicated UVA filter particularly useful for long-wave UVA protection.
Disodium Phenyl Dibenzimidazole Tetrasulfonate
A water-soluble UVA-supporting sunscreen filter.
Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid
Provides primarily UVB protection.
Ethylhexyl Triazone
A highly efficient UVB filter.
Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone
A photostable UV filter providing additional broad-spectrum support.
Together, these produce the current SPF50+/PA++++ rating.
ASPA-Fernblock®+
Cantabria Labs’ current global positioning now identifies ASPA-Fernblock®+ as the central Heliocare 360° antioxidant technology.
It builds on Heliocare’s longstanding Polypodium leucotomos fern technology and is positioned around antioxidant defence, solar-stress support and broader photoprotection.
There is, however, an important regional/formula-transition issue with this technology — see the Special Note below.
Glycosylase
Cantabria Labs currently lists Glycosylase as part of the Color Gel Oil-Free repair-support system.
It forms part of the brand’s wider strategy around supporting the skin’s own repair mechanisms following UV exposure.
I would avoid translating that into claims such as “repairs all DNA damage”. A better Chris & Alley formulation is:
“Supports natural skin-repair processes following UV exposure.”
Physavie / Physalis Angulata Extract
Physavie is represented by Physalis Angulata Extract.
It provides soothing and antioxidant support and is used particularly within Heliocare’s strategy against the effects of infrared and environmental stress.
OTZ 10 / Oxothiazolidine
A specialised antioxidant technology represented by Oxothiazolidine in the current INCI.
It helps reinforce the formula’s defence against oxidative stress associated with solar exposure.
Biomimetic Melanin
The formula contains Melanin as part of Heliocare’s wider visible-light protection strategy.
It complements the sunscreen filter system by helping absorb additional wavelengths of solar radiation.
Iron Oxides
The Bronze formula contains:
CI 77491 + CI 77492 + CI 77499
These pigments create the visible tint and are particularly valuable in pigmentation-focused sunscreen because tinted iron oxides can provide additional support against visible light.
They also help even the complexion and camouflage existing pigmentation.
Silica
Provides mattifying and oil-absorbing support, helping create the dry-touch finish appropriate for oily skin.
Phytosphingosine + Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate
These form part of the product’s sebum-regulating and skin-conditioning strategy.
Vitamin C
The formula contains 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, a stable Vitamin C derivative providing complementary antioxidant and brightening support.
Vitamin E
Tocopheryl Acetate and Tocopherol provide lipid-soluble antioxidant support.
Green Tea Extract
Camellia Sinensis Extract provides further antioxidant and soothing activity.

Shake well before use.
Apply generously and evenly as the final step of your morning skincare routine, before sun exposure.
Cantabria Labs’ current UK guidance recommends approximately two full finger lengths of sunscreen for the face, ensuring coverage reaches the hairline and other exposed facial areas.
Reapply approximately every two hours during significant exposure, and after:
Swimming
Heavy sweating
Towel drying
Using too little product reduces the protection achieved.
